,what you should do before travelling abroad?

Many people think that travelling abroad is an exciting experience especially for the first time. Sometimes we see super-excited people who come to the airport much earlier than their check-in time. However, there are few people who still feel confusion, doubt and fear making overseas trips especially for those who have never traveled abroad before. Basically, both travelling abroad and domestic are similar; the differences are only at the immigration and custom’s process. These reasons often cause hesitance for most people to go spend their holiday in another country. There is a quote from philosopher, who said, “The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.” In fact, travelling will show you how life is in other parts of the world. If you have decided on the destination you are going to visit, it is necessary to make proper preparations before your departure because a trip requires careful planning. There are several things you have to consider in order to have a comfortable trip; find out much information about your destination, make sure you carry all necessary documents, access financial easily, protect your health and having light luggage.
  • Beware of any travel warnings of the area you are going to visit
You should take time to check government websites to make sure it is safe to travel there. In some conditions, government would recommend postponing travel to a country because of civil unrest, terrorist activity, natural disaster, outbreaks, or ongoing war.

One day i have visit to bangkok when ongoing war, i think i'll be OK because I'm foreign. though, in every night i hear dorrrrr drorrrrr, its so surrounding, like a firework... hahahaha.
  • Update yourself with accurate information about your destination
Learning necessary information about the country you are going to visit will facilitate you to enjoying your trip even more. While travelling, you are subject to the local laws. Foreign law can be different from our own country, and it is very important to know what is legal and what is not. Checking the forecast to get an update about the weather will give you an idea to bring proper clothes. A small pocket dictionary can be a treasure when you are visiting a land where people do not speak your language. To make your trip unforgettable, you may need to make list of tourist objects to be explored, available transportation and convenient accommodation as well as the local culture.

You can download application about the city in your smartphone, and take away the map and tourist information from airport when you landed.
  • Do you have all required travel documents?
The most important things when you are travelling outside the country are providing all required travel documents. Most foreign countries require a passport to enter and leave.  A passport is an internationally recognized travel document that verifies your identity and citizenship, so please ensure that you have a valid one. Scan or photocopy the identification page of your passport, then email the scanned image to yourself or keep a copy with you in a separate place from your original passport. Sending your copied passport and your travel itinerary to your to your friend or family who is not travelling with you is also a good idea.

Carrying other identity cards, such as, birth certificate or citizenship card while travelling is also recommended. Do not forget to note the contact details of the nearest office of your country’s consular service in the city where you are going. These precautions may help to speed up the replacement of a lost passport.

Beside passports, you may also need visas to enter certain countries. Be sure to obtain any visas and fulfill all entrance requirements well before travelling. For details you may need to consult with your travel agent or directly contact to your destination’s embassy in your city. Some countries will allow you to enter only if you can prove you will be leaving and have enough money to support yourself during your stay. Be prepared to show your return or onward ticket, a bank statement, or any visas that demonstrate that you plan to visit another country.
  • Prepare to handle money oversees
Check and understand the exchange rate before you travel, and it is good idea to have a small amount of local currency on hand before you arrive. Before you leave, notify your bank, credit card company or other financial institution that you are going overseas. Avoid carrying too much cash, and consider using credit card or travel cheques, but make sure that they are accepted on your destination before starting your trip.
  • Packing smart and travel light
I have read and hear that sentence in many travel guides. Pack light so you can move more quickly and you have a free hand when you need it. Please remember it is saving your time and your money because excess baggage is very expensive. Avoid packing identity cards, tickets and other vital documents in backpacks or other locations you will not be able to see at all times. Label your bags and suitcases; such as name, addresses and phone numbers for easy identify. For safety, do not forget to lock your luggage, and use an additional padlock if necessary.

Many people have a unique technique when arrange their clothes, they roll up of their clothes like a chicken roulade and row in luggage.

Travelling abroad will be very pleasant if we have adequate preparation, especially if the purpose of your trip is for a vacation. You want to forget the daily routine and get to know new things; exploring places you have never seen before, learn the culture and taste the foods without any obstacles or worries. As philosopher says, “Traveler without observation is a bird without wings”. However, you may not be able to have a perfect observation without a wise arrangement. Identify your destination places, get ready with all documents needed, spoil yourself with simple financial access, keep your healthiness and save your energy from carrying non-essential baggage.
