Why i love so much with my country?

can't be denied Indonesian marine  is the best, especially for waters in eastern Indonesia. 

Hard to calculate how many beautiful beaches in our country. 

For The "sea lover", who are not familiar with tanjung bira ?

the beach on the southern peninsula of Sulawesi island offers beautiful gradation of 3 colors of the sea, softest white sand, and underwater scenery is fantastic. 

in tanjung bira you will get all of them. 

HOW GET THERE?

You can reach to Tanjong Bira in 2 ways. public transport or private transport. 

1. Public Transportation

- If you are coming from outside of Makassar,  and you landed at Sultan Hasanudin International Airport. you can find DAMRI parked under arrivals terminal of Sultan Hasanuddin airport to the last stop "Karebosi" Field , the charge 25K Rupiah flat. (1 Dollars = 12,5 K rupiah)

- From  Karebosi you should go to the "Malengkeri" bus station in "Gowa" via public transport (Pete pete) charge around 5K Rupiah. (Pick Public Transportation with Red Colour)

- From Malengkeri bus station,  you can use bus or minibus go to Tanjong Bira, charges around 60K rupiah.   I recommend to leave early, so as to arrive at Bira before night. 

- if you pick a minibus vehicles, you must stop at Bulukumba and continue the journey using public transportion to the Bira. vehicle used is a kind of minibus Avanza and panther with yellow plate. the distance your  journey about 5 to 6 hours, tired? but you will soon pay off.

- if you pick the bus, you do not  stop at Bulukumba, because this bus will go to selayar island , so you just stop in  Tanjong Bira Port. and you can walking go to bira beach  about 10 minutes.

2. Personal Transportation.


If you are a group, I highly recommend this way. 

Why?

but can save, you can also explore the many beaches there. 

- From the Sultan Hasanuddin airport arrivals terminal, so many services that offer car rental services. you can bargain until you think is the cheapest price.

- Use GPS to guide you towards Tanjung Bira.

- If lost please do not hesitate to ask.

ACCOMMODATION.

If you has Arrived at Tanjung Bira. there are many types of lodging there, but in general is bungalows. for narrow pockets you can stay in Bira Beach Hotel, tariffs around 300K-350K rupiah night / bungalows that can be inhabited by two people, cheap? Bira Beach Hotel locate is in the right side from the street before you see the bira beach.

for other choice you can stay in "Anda bungalow" with a rate of about 900K Rupiah/night,  that can be occupied up to 4 people. if you have much money you can stay at the "Amatoa Resort" the price is 1,7 M rupiah / night for the cheapest room. but you will get  a luxury resort facilities.

mostly bungalows here are the property of foreigners such as German, French, Spanish and Chinese. although some have local residents.



WHAT CAN YOU  DO?

1. Tanjung Bira.

Water play, beach with  3 color gradation caused water depth difference will make you feel at home sitting alongside the beach. you will find the softest sand in here. admission to Tanjung Bira is 10k rupiah for citizen and  20k rupiah for foreign.

2. Liukang Island.

You can enjoy of the underwater eastern Indonesia on the island, to get liukang island you can rent a boat at a price of 250k rupiah / boat, and to hire for diving equipment  you can pay 50k rupiah. to hire the boat you will be enjoy  2 point to dive, swim with turtles and enjoy the deserted beaches on the "bara beach".

3. Bara Beach

The Beach is the 2 km from bira beach. quiet and private, that's the first impression of this beach. I think this beach scenery more beautiful than Bira beach.

4. Tanah Beru

Is a village where the manufacture of the famous Phinisi, the location of this village about 3 KM before Bira beach.
